Storyboarding

Storyboards are graphic organizers such as a series of illustrations or images displayed in sequence for the purpose of pre-visualizing a a motion picture, animation, motion graphic or interactive media sequence, including website interactivity~Wikipedia.

Storyboarding has long been used by writers in television, motion pictures, and advertising. Recently, it has become popular with novelists. Looking at pictures and arranging them in order, can organize the way that the writer thinks about their story. Some writers use storyboarding rather than outlining. It is a fun and visual way to tell your story.

I don't storyboard in the true sense of the word, but I do sometimes find and save pictures that I put on my bulletin board to inspire me for my writing. How about you~do you storyboard? If you do, is it an effective way to inspire your writing?
