The End

I love typing those two words. I never leave them in my manuscript, but I always type them. After all the hard work that goes into a project, it lends a certain closure~I have finally reached my goal, I did it! Oh sure, there's all that re-reading and editing to do. All that agonizing over what to leave and what to keep, all those extra words to weed-out. Despite all of that, it's still THE END!!
Do you type it out~or at least think THE END??

Rejections and Writing

This is an older post from Suspense Novelist that explores rejection. It has some interesting points for all new writers, regardless of genre, as well as a couple of writing book recommendations.

Small Starts

If publishing a novel is your ultimate goal, then never give up. But you might consider the benefits of expanding your writing. I've recently started writing articles for Suite 101. I'm not a prolific article writer, but I do feel that it keeps me in a sort of writing routine.

I've also been submitting stories to Woman's World magazine for a couple of years. I was so happy that they accepted a mini-mystery in May, and now have my story, Moonlight Magic, as their romance for the July 19th issue.

Will I ever have a novel published? I hope so, but until then, I'll keep working on my writing skills and expanding my writing horizons.
